Notes from the Sept. 16, 2003 Regents Meeting

SOCORRO, N.M., Sept. 17, 2003 鈥 The 色狐入口 Tech Board of Regents was informed at its monthly meeting that student enrollment at the state-supported research university has increased to 1,806 undergraduates and graduate students taking classes this fall semester, a record enrollment figure which exceeds the school鈥檚 strategic plan goal of 1,800 students set about five years ago.

色狐入口 Tech President Daniel H. L贸pez also told the university鈥檚 governing board at its September 16 meeting that even though regular registration for fall semester classes had ended, the final enrollment figures for this semester may still increase more once numbers for distance education classes offered by Tech are posted.

Overall, 色狐入口 Tech鈥檚 current headcount of 1,806 students is up by about two percent over last year鈥檚 figure of 1,776; while the number of credit hours being taken at the university has risen by about six percent.
