Center for Calling and Career
The Center for Calling & Career provides resources for career exploration and preparation, including a Strengths-based developmental approach to career decisions, career readiness, and career connections through our job board. The CC&C offers an opportunity for students, alumni, and employees to examine their strengths and discover a clearer sense of purpose. Students may also declare or change a major or minor at the Center.
Our work is guided by Ephesians 2:10:听For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. We believe that God gives strengths, talents, or gifts to all humans in creation. We also believe that God calls people in two ways: primarily to a relationship with God, and secondly to tasks and careers in response to that relationship.

As I began my search for an internship, I went to the Center for Calling & Career for help. The CC&C gave me assistance on going from good to great on my resume and cover letter. I also completed a mock interview, and this really helped me gain confidence in expressing my story and qualifications for the internship I was seeking. Thanks to the CC&C, I was able to stand out among other job applicants and get an internship in Chattanooga!
